GripTrails is built by Spruce Ridge, LLC. This page says what the app collects and what happens to it, in plain words.
What we collect
- Account. You sign in with Apple. We store the name and email Apple shares with us. Hide-my-email works fine.
- Rides. When you record a ride: GPS location, speed, elevation, and time. That's the product.
- Sensor data. If you connect an external sensor (such as a RaceBox), motion and vibration data from your rides.
- Connected services. If you connect Strava or Garmin, the activity data you authorize — heart rate if it's there. You can disconnect at any time.
What it's used for
Computing your scores and keeping your ride history. That's it.
What we don't do
- No ads. No ad networks, ever.
- No selling or sharing your data with anyone.
- No third-party analytics or trackers in the app.
Where it lives
On our servers, encrypted in transit. Rides are private to your account; nothing is public unless you post it somewhere yourself (for example, to Strava through your own connection).
Deleting your data
Email beran@spruceridge.llc from your account email and we'll delete your account and rides within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes while you're a user, we'll say so in the app before the change applies.
